Google Glass Explorer Teaches Physics From CERN Via Hangout

Google Glass Explorer Andrew Vanden Heuvel always wanted to be an astronaut. His fascination with space stuck with him from childhood into adulthood, but he never felt like it was a reasonable goal. “Saying you wanted to be an astronaut was like saying you wanted to be a princess”, he recounts. He found his passion for teaching physics in virtual classrooms for schools who can’t afford on-campus physics programs.

So when he had the opportunity to explore the Large Hadron Collider at CERN as part of a collaboration with Project Glass, it was something of a dream come true. He got to don the space suit and use the power of the LHC to not only look deep into space and time, but also bring that passion and excitement to his students.
