Google notified IO 2012 Glass Explorers moments ago that the first batches are coming off the production lines. Google stated they want to ship the initial batches right away, instead of waiting until they’ve produced the entire lot. This means Glass units will soon be on their way to the 2,000 Glass Explorers who backed Glass last summer.
Be sure to keep a watchful eye on your email account, it seems that Google might be notifying initial “pioneers” within a few days.
UPDATE: Some Glass Explorers have been able to order Glass already. Reports are coming in that you can either have Glass shipped to you or pick it up on site. Some have reported that they are planning on going on site tomorrow to pick-up their units.
